On October 8 and 9, 2024, despite unfavorable weather conditions, the French Maritime Prefecture coordinated the operation, deploying a French aircraft and an Italian patrol vessel to monitor the Strait of Bonifacio. No illegal discharges were detected, but a simulated detection allowed for testing of standard communication and procedural protocols.<\/p>\n
