The Technical Committee of the RAMOGE Agreement met on 10 December 2025 at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, under the chairmanship of Mr Yann Battefort, First Counsellor at the Embassy of France in Monaco.
On this occasion, the delegations of the three States Parties reviewed the activities carried out by the various working groups throughout the year. The RAMOGE–Pelagos cooperation was also discussed, with the establishment of a dedicated working group, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two Agreements in 2024.
Discussions also focused on the programme and timetable of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the RAMOGE Agreement, scheduled for 2026, which will represent a key year for regional cooperation in the Mediterranean. A particularly ambitious programme, made possible thanks to an exceptional financial contribution from the Principality of Monaco.
The year 2026 is therefore expected to be a major milestone, featuring large-scale scientific, operational and communication actions, in support of the preservation of the Mediterranean marine environment.
The recommendations formulated by the Technical Committee will be submitted for approval to the Commission at its meeting in January 2026.
