WORKSHOP ON TECHNIQUES FOR SAMPLING POLLUTANTS AT SEA

On November 7, 2024, the RAMOGE Agreement organized a workshop at the Monaco Yacht Club to discuss techniques for sampling pollutants at sea (such as hydrocarbons and potentially hazardous substances).

French (LASEM) and Italian (ISPRA, firefighters) authorities shared their expertise on pollutant sampling and analysis methods with the Monegasque delegation and presented the kits they developed.

This event provided an opportunity to compare institutional practices, address environmental challenges related to marine pollution, and emphasize the importance of new technologies in this field. Practical tests of these kits were also conducted aboard vessels from Monaco’s Maritime and Airport Police Division and the Directorate of Maritime Affairs.
