The beginning of 2025 was marked by several joint initiatives of the RAMOGE and Pelagos Agreements focused on the protection of the marine environment.
Genoa – 3 March: Inauguration of the Pelagos Sanctuary exhibition by the association We Are Méditerranée at the Genoa Aquarium. Pupils and students attended a conference on marine biodiversity before discovering the photographs of Greg Lecoeur, founder of the association.
Monaco – 6 March: Meeting with students of the Albert Ier High School to learn about the emblematic species of the Pelagos Sanctuary and the RAMOGE zone, as well as the pressures they face, followed by an interactive quiz.
Monaco – 6 March: Participation in the Dante Alighieri conference on the geopolitical centrality of the Mediterranean.
Monaco – 2 April: Round table organized by FMES as part of the Hautes Études Maritimes, to discuss the challenges related to the management of marine areas.
These events highlight the complementarity of the two Agreements and their commitment to working together to protect the Mediterranean, in line with the Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2024.
